Privacy Policy

DockShift is built to know as little about you as possible. This page explains exactly what's collected, on the site and in the app, and by whom.

What the site collects

Nothing that identifies you. dockshift.app sets no tracking cookies and creates no user account.

The language of the last page you opened (English or French) is saved in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). Opening a page in another language updates this preference. This mechanism creates no cookie and does not send the stored preference to a server. The address you open always determines the page language, without an automatic redirect.

The site may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure traffic. This tool sets no cookies and doesn't identify individual visitors: it only counts aggregate page views.

What the app collects

No tracking. No usage analytics. The app connects to validate your license and to check for or download updates.

When you activate DockShift, the app sends your license key and your Mac's name (e.g. "Julie's MacBook Pro") to the Lemon Squeezy API, to verify the license is valid and count activations. The app also connects to check for and download updates. These connections are separate from traffic measurement on this website.

Your purchase, at Lemon Squeezy

Buying a DockShift license is handled by Lemon Squeezy, our official reseller (Merchant of Record). Lemon Squeezy collects and processes the data needed for the transaction: email, payment details, billing, VAT. This data is governed by Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read: lemonsqueezy.com/privacy

dockshift.app never sees or stores any of this data.

Retention

• Language preference (site): is updated when you open a page in either language and stays in your browser until the site’s stored data is cleared.
• License key and instance name (app): kept by Lemon Squeezy for as long as needed to manage your license. See their privacy policy for details.
• Payment and billing data: managed and retained by Lemon Squeezy, under their legal obligations.

Your rights

Since the site and app process almost no personal data, there's little to exercise on our end. For anything related to your purchase (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection), you can contact Lemon Squeezy directly, or write to us at contact@dockshift.app and we'll forward your request.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
